Schoolyard Design
In collaboration with the ELEVATE project, the schoolyard of Edward Gideon Elementary School was redesigned. A week of in-person community engagement with the school and neighborhood helped inform the design and ideas. Below you will find a schematic set of drawings, presented to the city for construction of the project projected for construction in fall of 2026.

 Family members voting on sticker boards. |  Students were asked to vote on their top 3 play modalities. |  Students & families were asked to write down what they loved about the Strawberry Mansion and Gideon communities. |

 At recess, students were given chalk to show us some things they love and get creative! |  We spent many hours walking the campus and especially taking note of the murals that are currently on the school. |
